Booking your holiday

  • Please call us on +00 33 565212448 or email us on lemassarrat46@gmail.com and we can confirm availability or try to find alternative dates.

  • 35% deposit payment on booking. Balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

  • Bank transfer

  • If you need to change your booking contact us as soon as possible. If alternative dates are available, we will change your holiday dates. For full details see terms and conditions on your booking form.

  • Ask your doctor for confirmation of your condition and contact your travel insurance company. We will try our best to find alternative dates but are under no obligation to do so. We will assist with the paperwork necessary in making a claim.

 

Travel

  • You should always ask your doctor’s advice, although there is usually no problem particularly in the early stages. Do check with your airline when booking.

  • You will need a car. We are located in unspoilt countryside and although the local village and bar are a 15 minute walk, the nearest shops are 15 minute drive away. Free parking is available on site.

  • Unfortunately, we currently do not provide this.

  • We do not, but you can order them when you book your hire car.

  • To date, an international driving permit is not required.

  • We strongly recommend that all our guests take out comprehensive travel insurance.

  • You will require a GHIC card, but be aware, the UK government, on its own website states: “The GHIC is not an alternative to travel insurance. It will not cover any private medical healthcare or costs, such as mountain rescue in ski resorts or being flown back to the UK. Make sure you have both a GHIC and a travel insurance policy that includes healthcare in place before you travel.”

  • Let us know your estimated arrival time and we will be on site to welcome you to your cottage. We can also provide children’s food, a meal (and bottle of wine) to await your arrival.

 

On-site Facilities

  • Yes, Fiona is on site 5 days a week and available on Watsapp 24/7.

  • Yes, each cottage has a private washing machine.

  • There is a tumble dryer in the laundry room – shared by both cottages.

  • Each cottage has a bath, baby bath, non-slip mat and bath toys.

  • Adult and children’s pool towels are provided.

  • Waterproof sheets are provided.

  • Free WiFi is included in your holiday price.

  • There is no TV in the cottage, but portable DVD players are available.

  • Microwave sterilisers are provided as standard.

  • We have a selection of pushchairs available.

  • We have a baby back pack.

 

Extra Facilities

  • Babysitters who speak French, English or Duch can be arranged with adequate advance notice. This service is VERY popular locally during the school holidays and cannot be guaranteed. Price on application, but generally between €12 and €18 per hour. Maximum 2 children per sitter.

  • Arrangements can be made with adequate advance notice.

  • We are very happy to advise and book restaurants for you.

  • Please see the activities list. We can advance book any that are of interest.

  • Reserve them with Fiona during your pre-arrival phone call.

  • Unfortunately, this service is no longer available.

  • The swimming pool is fully enclosed, has a safety gate and complies to pool safety regulations.

  • The garden is fully enclosed and has been designed with safety and fun in mind. The children can get to the play barn by themselves with no danger of entering the pool area.

 

Food and Drink

  • Each accommodation has a Phillips Senseo coffee machine and a starter supply of washing up liquid, cleaning fluid, loo paper, washing up sponges, dishwasher tabs and bin liners.

  • We offer a choice of Welcome baskets for your arrival. (The contents may change due to availability – or lack of)

    The Bronze basket is complimentary. baguette, croissants, jam, pads for coffee machine, tea and fresh milk.

    Silver welcome basket (€40): Baguette, croissants, jam, pads for coffee machine, tea, fresh milk, butter, fresh milk, eggs, cheese, biscuits, yogurts, 1 bottle red, 1 bottle rose wine.

    Gold welcome basket (€85): Baguette, croissants, jam, butter, fresh milk, pads for coffee machine, tea, eggs, cheese, biscuits, yogurts, tomatoes, lettuce, potatoes, onions, chicken pieces, 1 bottle red, 1 bottle rose wine, champagne and beers.

    Nutritious Welcome basket (in addition to the complementary Bronze basket) (65€): 1kg of seasonal organic fruit, honey, herbal tea, almond milk, organic apple juice, organic muesli, local multigrain bread, organic rice crackers

    BBQ Welcome basket (in addition to the complementary Bronze basket) (€95): Bag of charcoal, fire lighters, matches, 6 chipolatas, 6 merguez, 6 beef burgers, BBQ sauce, Mustard, 3 tomatoes, onion, salad bag, vinaigrette, 6 beers, bottle of chilled rose, Bulgur wheat or couscous, crisps, 4 x patisserie for dessert.

    Romantic welcome basket (in addition to the complementary Bronze basket) (95€): Smoked Salmon, blinis, crème fraiche, strawberries, chocolate, olives, Bonne Maman tartelettes, chilled rose, chilled champagne, candles and Provençale or Onion tart and salad,

  • We can cater for all dietary requirements. Please give as much notice as possible.

  • A range of home-cooked, frozen meals, milk, pasta, pasta sauces, rice, fruit purees, chocolate, biscuits, ice lollies, ice creams, crisps, home made pre-prepared frozen food and, of course, cold beers, selection of soft drinks, water, local rose, red wines and champagne!

 

Pets

  • The short answer is yes! Well behaved pets are very welcome at Mas Sarrat.

    You must inform us before your arrival if you wish to bring a pet. This is to ensure that guests in the other cottage are happy with a pet on-site.

  • We charge a minimal £10 per day for up to two pets (the maximum allowed per cottage). This is to cover any additional cleaning costs.

    We provide a complementary Pet Welcome Basket, with food for a couple of days, treats and a toy.

  • We can provide dog beds on request. They are the cosy mat type beds that can be easily washed between canine clients.

  • Pets are not invited to the Meet the Animals as we like to keep the goats and hens as calm as possible.

    You are not permitted to leave your pets unattended in the cottage or garden.

  • Our local vet speaks good English and we can arrange pre-departure worming and health checks on your behalf.
