Jennie Gilbert runs pottery courses in the beautiful Chalke Valley in Wiltshire since 2013. Now she and a colleague have decided to branch out to France, which has (funnily enough) attracted a wider range of visiting tutors and will broaden the variety of teaching techniques and styles available. Jennie Gilbert and other experienced potters; Jennifer Hall, Katherine Winfrey and Emily Myers have designed 2 and 4 day pottery coursse in the inspirational French countryside of Mas Sarrat.
My sister Jennie Gilbert and now runs 2-day and 4-day pottery courses at Mas Sarrat in April/May and October. We have converted an outbuilding into a light, modern pottery workshop. These courses are for adults only, but families will, as always, be very welcome to join the holiday should they wish.
In our light, spacious workshop we provide versatile courses for adult potters of all levels. With a low student to tutor ratio (max. 6 students : 2 tutors), we ensure that everyone gets as much individual attention as possible.
Tuition is provided each morning (9am – 2pm) and potters have free reign of the pottery to hone their skills in the afternoon. Pottery closes at 7pm.
Food. A delicious mid-morning snack and a long, lazy, locally produced lunch - including wine - will ensure a relaxed, creative environment!
